Teaches: Applied Statistics: Inference and Modeling

Jacob Turner, PhD, is a biostatistician for the Baylor Institute for Immunology Research, Baylor Scott & White in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Turner recently received his Ph.D. in Statistical Science from Southern Methodist University. His research involved creating novel statistical methods to model percentage data derived from flow cytometry experiments. He has been a full time member of the Biostatistics group at the Baylor Institute for Immunology Research (BIIR) for almost 2 years, but has worked jointly with Baylor Scott and White for the last three and a half years including his final years of dissertation work. He is also well acquainted with the analysis of microarray data. He is a key contributor to the advancement of Gene Set Analysis for longitudinal data at the BIIR and the creation of graphical user interfaces to aid researches in interpreting their statistical results from big data.
